This year, about 4, 72, 000 students have appeared in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) exam in order to get a berth in more than 15 top notch engineering colleges all over the country. T.S Natarajan, organizer of IITJEE Exam 2010, said that as many as 4.72 lakh students were giving the JEE as against 3.98 lakh students last year. This exam is under the supervision of IIT-Madras.
